A lot of improvement has gone into the game since then, I would say it's history like the Laser-Rifle charge.

If you're talking about the blue color, then yes, there are mods to change the color of your rocket. But your question seems more directed towards the physics - we cannot mod the physics engine (without having access to the source code).
