From the past few days i've been going on legions quite a lot, and just recently i have noticed what i think is a bug. Im playing and facing towards my base 'Beta base' and all is well, but the moment i face towards 'Alpha base, and even try to move my ret anywhere in that direction. Lag steps in and i cant move an inch. It would be understandable if the lag was everywhere, it would mean I have to update my computer or internet. but the fact that there is lag in only one direction, and not in the others is very confusing, if someone can re assure me by stating that its a bug, or if its just something minor. it would be great, and keep in mind please that this lag is ONLY in one direction, not EVERYWHERE. Thank you, these are the specifications for my Computer and my Operating System:

Im Extremely sorry if i have posted a bit too much, but i couldnt know which bits were important for you too see and which bits you dont have to look at.

Hey Buzz! Before we go any further, can you repeat this error? As in, if you were to go back into the game, to the same map, does it still happen for you? Or was it just a one-time thing?

I most certainly can try again, just a second

Ive tried Nivosus, and Frostbyte right now. It hasnt changed at all, When i face towards beta no lag, i start to turn towards alpha lag comes in. i just cant get it, if there is lag it should be everywhere, no. But just in one direction, that is weird.
is it a bug?

I have a feeling that this type of card is not well supported by legions, other than this, I can't really offer any help.

Thanks blasto, but the thing is you see. when legions overdrive first released for public. i played it and it worked very well indeed, but just from about two days it lags in one direction not in the other

SeymourGore

Yar, unfortunately that chipset is not supported for Legions: Overdrive, so performance will never be great (or possible in some cases). As for what could be causing the framerate drop in one specific location, no idea. Maybe the card's trying to draw too many structures/players at once, maybe it's the sun, really not sure.

You said this just started happening, when did it occur? Did you install a modification at some point?

Voltage

Puzzlemaster
Okay then, thats sounds bad. how would i be able to change that Chipset thingy, is it in the monitor, or the computer.
and i did try to install a reticle set. which never worked. i deleted legions overdrive, and installed another clean version of it.

Unless you know what a chipset is, it's probably best replacing the computer. However, try legions lite to lower the visible distance to minimum and see if that has any effect.

Even though that might be a chipset problem, I still wonder why he's having lag only in one direction. My most wild guess has to be, since he was facing towards his base, there were fewer 'objects' than when he faces towards the other base - which has quite some area to cover. Dunno how to put this correctly in wording but, that's just my wild guess.

Thanks, will see if i can get a comp for my birthday prezzie. everyone chip in buy me a new computer, :p

I understand what you're trying to say A2, like there is more objects for the system to load when im facing a far away base than a close one

As Seymour stated above, all the action going on your screen might be too much for that integrated Intel Express Chipset Family GPU (Graphic Processor Unit, or 3D card, whichever you prefer calling it), build-in components ain't exactly top-notch quality.

Could you specify the circumstances this lagging occurs? ie. your position on the map, number of players on "laggy side" of the map and number of players on "not-so laggy side" (how many players you can see when looking at certain direction).

Voltage

Puzzlemaster
Hmmm, I would respawn on beta base, and on respawning start to face towards alpha base, i wouldnt be able to move. it actually prevents me from moving, if i am to face back to beta base, everything is fine no lag everything is perfect. On the other side of the map there is around 4 players, while on mine there are about two players.
To be precise i get lag only while facing the enemy base, no other times at all
