not showing pictures and not connecting

Hello, i am wanting my friend to play legions, we've downloaded all the stuff (launcher .net framework so on and so on.) and when we launch legions, the screen where you click play is all white except for the play and other buttons. when we try to join a match it just shows the picture of the map and dosen't say anything below it.

If it's a laptop, just grab the model number of the unit for me, Seymour should be able to find them out then.

Then what's the model of the desktop (unless it's custom built) If it's running XP, go to start, right click on computer, go to "properties" and the model number should be somewhere on that page (as well as CPU and RAM information, which is what we're after)
