Game Modes, Etc.

Note: Just some ideas. Will be Updated.

12/17/10-

Juggernaut- No Teams. Game mode in which 1 player is selected to be the Juggernaut, otherwise an stat boosted player(In HP, Dmg, Energy, Ammo). The objective is to get the most points killing the Juggernaut or killing AS the Juggernaut. There will be a setting to allow TK or not for sabotage.

1 Flag- 2 Teams. There is only 1 flag in the middle of the map, the goal is to try and get it and return it to your base flag( base flags cannot be taken ).

Leader- 2 Teams. Try to kill the captain on the other team.

Instagib- Free For all or TDM. 1 Sniper rifle. Inf. Ammo. 1 Shot, 1 Kill.

CTF(Ball Style)- Instead of Flags, You got all the bounciness of balls.

12/18/10-

Option to turn off the bright colored-ness of clusters. (Hurts mah eyes)

Gamma Option: I want the game to look a little darker xD

Contrast Option: Effects are nice

Skills- weapon enhancing skills, you can only have 1 skill at a time, and you have to drop 1 weapon from your loadout to prevent OPness of a player:
CG(EDITED FOR FROST <3)- Overheat bar decreases faster. Gained by killing 1500 players with CG And Capping 150 flags with it equipped 4v4 games only
Rocket- Once hit directly, you are stunned for 1 second. Gained by killing 1000 players with RL
Grenade- Bigger AoE. Gained by killing 1000 players with GL and 150 flags with it equipped 4v4 games only
LR- Uses 15% less energy. Gained by killing 1500 players with LR and 150 flags with it equipped 4v4 games only

Well, since Serket brought this up, maybe instead, doing the above earns you a spec clasS?
 
I want Team Rabbit 2 as well :D

I remember playing instagib on t2, but I can't remember my opinions on it.

I like the sound of Leader though.

Leader & Juggernaut look fun. Instagib im not such a fan of. In any case legions definitely needs more game modes.

Leader sounds like fun. While the each of the team is trying to protect their leader, they're also trying to kill the other leader.

I like all of these pretty well. My only concerns would be the 1 second stun from the rocket, it sounds like it could be OP. Though I suppose if it has to hit directly, then it won't be happening all to often, and when it does you wont have a lot of life left to fight on.

The other one would be using a kill count to unlock the upgrades. If people are concerned that having awards that are just for show will distract players from the main objective, then this definitely will.

As for the game modes, I approve.

I like These 3, Juggernauts fine, 1 flag will get a lot of moaners but every now & then when there's a balanced enough team it'd be fun. Possibly a lot of camping though..

Leader sounds great, But I agree with steffy; Leader of a team should have more health than normal, otherwise they'll die too soon, I'd say like 3 times the life/times less damage recieved..whats that like 6 direct hits with a rocket on gunner? means more of the team can get involved properly.
Also leader makes for better teamwork, working together to protect the one person, sorta like in ctf but more focused as not just a couple ppl protecting.

Agreed with the game modes, but isn't 150 caps a bit too much? I say this because there's a lot of people who play defense all the time or rather playing in the heavy spec (can't remember the name of that class) so getting 150 caps may be too much.
And another concern would be what stops me from making those caps in an empty server and just going for the kills in a server with people? Unless the devs can code it so the caps only count when there is people in the server and it could stiill be the same situation if only two people are in there, taking turns to cap until they reach the number.

There is always a flaw to every plan.
I guess I'll just edit it to 4 v 4 games.

Also: About the hof, you can just take flag passes.

You know, your suggestion about obtaining stuff trhough kills and caps got me thinking that something else players could get as a reward could be ammo upgrades, for example being able to carry 500 rounds for the CG instead of the 350 rounds from the normal loadout, or even the possibility to be able to improve the normal CG into the specialist CG (the one that had the 500 round capacity and less spread).
This might be a good idea because as we know the specialist classes were taken out from the game, and personally I really enjoyed using the specialist CG and the rocket launcher as my loadout.

an assault style game type would be cool like that of unreal. one team defends objectives while the other team tries to complete them.

you shouldn't have upgrades that would give better players advantages over beginners
