Nvidia released a new .dds converter that has some better options and capabilities... typically the best is "DXT5 ARGB 8 bpp | interpolated alpha" you can however use some others as well I even used the 32 bit alpha but the file size will be tremendous so beware... also beware I have tried pallete AGRB 8 bit alpha.. seems to freeze photoshop at least for me it does.

when you convert it will be labeled as "D3D/DDS" and not "DDS"

English please?

One thing that I've learned from listening to DeadGuy and Mabel techno-nerd-yammering on TS is this: If I'm unable to understand what they're saying, it's probably not something that would interest me or concerns me much.

I think the same philosophy could work for you in this situation, Mr Immanent!
