Hi guiz,
I was just thinking what Android apps I am potentially missing out on, so please, those with Android Devices, post your favourite Android apps!

I like:

None of these require root
All of these are free at time of writing
Those in bold are awesome.
Those with * are off the market. Install at own risk.
(Its reasonably easy to do)

Adao file manager*
Astro file manager (Good as backup file manager)
Angry Birds
Antivirus free (Dunno why)
Appbrain (Better market browser)
Battery Solo Widget
Bird notification bar (Notif bar still available in "full screen" apps)
Camscanner (Great for scanning odd bits and bobs)
Cover Art Downloader (Good if you get music from unofficial sources)
Dolphin Browser HD (Oh man this browser is the BEST)
Dropbox
Go Launcher EX (This is the BEST home screen IMO. Just get it.)
Gmail (Better than default email if you use gmail)
Google reader (Good for RSS feeds)
Kongregate Arcade (Lots and lots and LOTS of games (over 300?) Requires flash)
Orbot (Allows tor on android)
Perfect App Protector - FREE (Protects apps from opening, no root. Can be pin or pattern)
Spare Parts (Good for quick stats of your phone)
Speedtest.net Mobile
tTorrent lite
Tubemate* (Allows downloading of videos from youtube, in various qualities and formats, including mp3)
Uninstaller (Fast uninstaller of multiple items)
Widgetsoid (Best toggler)
Yaaic (Probably the best free IRC client for android)

And that pretty much finishes my long list. Any takers?
(I also did this in alphabetical order. Appreciate me.)

Holy! *starts downloading ALL the apps*

Already fell in love with Dolphin Browser.
I use my phone a LOT.

Don't forget the plugins for Dolphin.

Dolphinplugins:
QR share
Desktop toggles
Screen cut
Dolphin Translate
Read it later
MyPDF
Textsizer
TabHistory

(P.s. DON'T get an app killer. This actually lowers your phone performance (unless you are on a really old version of android))

That's cool that they give you a better phone for a replacement.

yes, i'm still confused as to how i managed to get such a massive upgrade for free :/

Glad to hear people like Korea's SmartPhone products, seems like mostly everyone I know has the Galaxy S 2's

they are built well, really fast and paper thin. they are good phones XD

the fact that the internals are very similar to the nexus galaxy is also a good thing, as it means it will more likely get updated

I really hope Android 4 comes to my Desire S. :(

it will, but unlikely to be officially or OTA.

if you look at the specs of the nexus galaxy, you'll notice that they aren't anything ridiculously powerful compared to the phones out now, which implies that the massive speed improvements (especially in the browser) come from ice cream sandwich, so it's probably worth hacking it on your phone if you don't get it.

It shows the release of the OS Android 4 and it will be RELEASED on the Galaxy Nexus.

I still don't understand how that is related to mypost.

Also, now that I have had my phone for a while, I can reccomend

Doubletwist - a replacement music app
tinyshark - groove shark for android (needs flash I think)
Yaaic - irc client (thanks lionz for the reccomendation)
Soundcloud
The ice cream sandwich keyboard
Magiclocker - custom lock screen with downloadable themes
Norton utilities
Google goggles
