As the site suggests, xonotic is a fast paced FPS and is also a successor to nexuiz. A lot has changed in the form of heavy performance and graphics updates, UI changes, physics and weapon balance tweaks, new player models and maps, and changes to client authentication and encryption. Although I genuinely favored warsow over nexuiz for self reasons, I do believe it has a better outlook now.
