This would make it a more versatile weapon, and could be used more effectively as a chasing weapon. The sniper rifle already does hardly any damage and this would make it a more effective and dangerous weapon.

Two hits kill an outrider. That is more than "hardly any damage." Taking away its damage drop off from the loss of jets would mean that the user could pretty much chase down and kill anything at any time. It would make games too imbalanced.

I think this thread better be locked up. I obviously don't know how effective the LR is when used by someone with low ping.

I'm sure that anyone with experience with the LR can easily chase down and drop a capper, the way the LR is now. It's all about practicing and learning the weapon. This is like saying "Make cappers have more health when they have the flag so it's easier to cap", just for the sake of ME being able to cap.
