Looked into it and it won't be doable without messing around with the engine (so, no simple script change for example). Might be possible though, I'll see if I can convince the right people to bother.
If if their in there and stumble across the skybox code, if its not to hard can we get the max size changed from 1024x1024 to 2048x2048?
Legends the Game, uses sizes up to 2048x2048, and it runs on TGA, So I know it can be done.
