You can always nuke modified stuff. The launcher will redownload the vanilla files once it recognizes that some are missing (= the next time you start it). But it's generally a good idea to make a copy of your original files before you modify them.

it is not working deleted the folder downloaded it again when i logged in to play the terrains were still sand

Well that's more than weird. I haven't downloaded Fixious' files, but I assume that he "simply" replaced the texture files. If you delete those (Sure that you did that correctly? Did you really delete them? Maybe their "read-only" status prevented you from doing so?) the launcher will download the originals.
