I'll wait 'til they release an mATX version. I've been waiting for this.

Maybe Bulldozer can rival Sandy Bridge for 5.0+GHz overclock on air.

Personally, I'm expecting them to rival the older i7's versus the new ones. Which is totally alright, I love the idea of a lower priced chip at near current generation i7 speeds.

AMD 6 core chip ($250) is competitive with intels 6 core $1k chip.
I also read that the socket could increase performance, correct me if i am wrong.

competitive does not equal as good as.

AMD's 6 core is cheap, intels is better.

Like LindN said, Intel's i7 980X is better than AMD's 1100T in terms of performance. 980X supports hyperthreading, which is a big plus. A CPU running 12 threads? Server-grade. But AMD is better for overclocking. One team managed to overclock a Phenom II x4 to 7.0+GHz on liquid helium.

I haven't heard that. I'll look into that.

I don't think anyone could deny that Core i7's are much better performing than Phenom II X6's, however when looked at a 'performance/value' level, the Phenom II's become more appealling.
