It is great. The amount of features it has is a lot, it feels great, and functions great as well. For 34 dollars, a G500 is a steal.

Just read on some reviews that there's some high-pitched buzzing noise whenever the mouse isn't tracking or moving. Is that true? If so, does it annoy you?

That doesn't happen at all. Just take good care of your mouse (Don't bang it around, stuff like that).

Just received it earlier today and loving it so far 
The only gripe I have is that the first mouse button is a bit hard to reach =/ Other than that, it's amazing! Just have to get used to the massive dpi...came from a 400 dpi mouse lol.

It was a little uncomfortable for like the first day, but I got used to it. Also, remember that you can change the DPI levels to as low or as high as you want. It's really quite useful.
