I feel like a kickstarter could be very successful if it managed somehow to get good word of worth going around. Just don't do what reflex has done...

I know they are looking at Reflex closely. Reflex had good word-of-mouth within the Quake community, but it didn't extend much past that. I do think the modern Tribes community is bigger than the CPMA community. We also frequent Reddit more which is nice, compared to Quake mostly hovering around ESReality.

All this talk about the payment method or whatever. Is there anything wrong with how LoL does it? completely free game, but accessories and skins are available to buy. Reason why i'm asking is because it was used in IA with all the skins then. did the skin idea just flump completely?
